Boeingul a decolat de pe aerodromul Paine Field, Washington, si a aterizat dupa 5 ore si 16 minute de zbor la Seattle.
Dupa cum au anuntat cei implicati, primul zbor a decurs perfect, fara incidente, astfel ca programul de dezvoltare si testare va continua. Pentru acest eveniment, aparatul a fost vopsit in noul livery al Boeing.
Air New Zeeland este primul operator care va primi noul Dreamliner, livrarile urmand a incepe chiar din anul 2014.
