Fortele Aeriene Romane au primit al saselea avion C-27J SpartanRomanian Air Force recevied the sixth C-27J Spartan

spartanFortele Aeriene Romane au primit, joi, cel de-al saselea avion de transport scurt si mediu curier C-27J Spartanul.

Aparatul, avand numarul de bord 2706, este echipat pentru misiuni de evacuare medicala (MEDEVAC), fiind destinat interventiilor sanitare si de urgenta.

Ministerul Apararii a organizat o mica ceremonie in cadrul Flotilei 90 Transport Aerian de la Otopeni, la eveniment participand inclusiv premierul si ministrul de resort.

Romania, prin intermediul Ministerului Apararii, si compania italiana Alenia Aeronautica SpA au semnat un contract privind achizitia a sapte aparate Spartan in anul 2007. Alenia a inceput livrarile in 2010, insa le-a stopat dupa ce tara noastra a receptionat primele cinci aparate.

Anul acesta au fost deblocate platile iar al saselea Spartan, cel echipat MEDEVAC, a sosit la Otopeni.

Potrivit ministrului Dusa, al saptelea si ultimul avion de acest tip, echipat pentru lupta impotriva incendiilor, va ajunge in Romania la sfarsitul acestui an sau in prima parte a lui 2014.

Incepand cu anul 2010 flota romaneasca de C-27J Spartan a participat la multiple misiuni, in tara si in strainatate, ajungand la un total de peste doua mii de ore de zbor.

Defense Ministry held a small ceremony at the 90th Airlift Fleet from Otopeni in witch the new airplane was presented to press and officials.

Romania, through the Ministry of Defense, and the Italian company Alenia Aeronautica SpA signed an agreement concerning the acquisition of seven Spartan planes in 2007. Alenia began deliveries in 2010, but stopped after our country received the first five Spartans.

This year, Government unlocked payments and the sixth Spartan, fitted for MEDEVAC missions, arrived at Otopeni.

According to Minister Dusa, the seventh and and last plane of this type, equipped for fighting fires, will arrive in Romania at the end of this year or in the first half of 2014.

Since 2010, the Romanian fleet of C- 27J Spartan has participated in multiple missions at home and abroad, reaching a total of over two thousand flight hours.
