Primul T-50 irakian urmeaza sa fie livrat in aprilie 2016.t-50 iraqIraq chose the Korea Aerospace Industries T-50 trainer jet as the plane on wich local pilots will prepare to fly the new F-16s. Therefore, czech from Aero Vodochody, who wanted to sell their L-159 ALCA trainer in Iraq remain with a swollen lip.

Recently, Iraq goverment and Korea Aerospace Industries signed an agreement for 24 T-50 jets, worth about $1.1 billion.

“The deal also covers training for Iraqi pilots, while KAI will provide follow-on support for the fleet for 20 years, bringing the entire value of the contract to over $2 billion”, says Flightglobal.

First T-50 will be delivered to Iraq in april 2016.
