China continua sa investeasca sume uriase in aviatie iar rezultatele nu intarzie sa apara. Unul dintre cele mai noi produse ale industriei chineze este KJ500, un nou tip de aparat AWACS.
Spre deosebire de „fratiorul” KJ200, noul KJ500 are un rotodom fix iar acesta va gazdui nu mai putin de trei radare AESA.
Deocamdata, KJ500 este in faza de dezvoltare, existand macar un prototip folosit pentru teste in zbor. Nu se stie daca au fost instalate si radarele, insa data fiind faza incipienta a testelor, foarte probabil ca raspunsul este nu.China continues to invest huge amounts of money in aviation and the results are amazing. Unlike the „little brother” KJ200, KJ500 has a fixed rotodome wich will host three AESA radars.
For now, KJ500 is in the development phase, but there is at least a prototype used for flight tests.
